Here's an article I recently read in Digital Photo Pro magazine, November 2008.
I thought I would share it with people on dev-art, since there is much confusion about how to go about saving their work from prowlers on their pages.
A couple of words from me, first:

Truthfully aside from personal trauma, there's no real damage done in "art theft." It's not like the theives benefit a lot, as most of the sites are generally pretty rock bottom and take more to run than they can afford to mess with of anyon
